Preserving jobs, legacy, Robert Levin buys back once again furniture kingdom bearing his household’s name

Levin Furniture’s owner that is former Thursday joined the chain’s Monroeville store along Route 22 into the cheers of workers and managers — whose jobs he’d simply conserved.

Robert Levin raised their hands in triumph as, when you look at the history, the store’s audio system played the Mike & The Mechanics track “All i would like Is really a Miracle. ”

The “miracle” had been Levin’s announcement that he’s buying back once again their household’s business for the undisclosed amount after a “last-minute” cope with Michigan-based moms and dad business Art Van Furniture LLC, which can be entering bankruptcy.

A hundred years after their grandfather, Sam Levin, founded the shop in downtown Mt. Pleasant, Robert Levin stated he was pleased to be right back after a retirement that is short-lived.
